Yep he is. I've met him. I was at a charity night to see one of my favourite comedians and I found out it was to do with gay shit. As I was walking out after the show Sir Ian McKellan was standing dressd all in white with a bucket asking for money for gay charities or some shit like that.

Dude, I read the books dozens of times, there is not anywhere as much gayness in the books as there was in the movies, not that there's anything wrong with it, but it was impossible not to notice.

Oh yeah? Well, I've read it dozens of times + 2 ! There's plenty of "gayness" (as you call it) in the books - especially between Frodo & Sam in ROTK - tender hand holding, open embraces, "Oh, my dear Frodo!"

yeah not to mention that I saw it for myself yesterday and kept looking for this big gay kiss and it turns out to be a kiss on the forehead like a father would kiss a son. Geeze, get over it.

I am more annoyed by Liv Tyler's huge lips and how in ever film I can see on the screen how they have only drawn in part of her lips to try to make them look smaller.
