How Many Movies Have You Seen In The Theatre This Year?

Fuck I used to go every week but I have been working so much this year I really haven't had a chance to see much.

I think I saw all the big movies (LOTR, Terminator 3 and other big name flicks) but missed alot of smaller good ones.

How about you guys, have you seen much this year or waiting for it to be released on video like moi?

I used to go 3 times a week, saw almost every movie, then sometime in september they stopped releasing good movies, so I stopped going.

and people that get up during the movie for whatever reason and walk in front of me

thats why I used a spare bedroom, hung a 100 inch screen on one wall, got a dlp projector, nice sound system, some theater seats... and no phone is allowed in there either, and thankfully I can even hear the other phone ring in there or someone would get screamed at for calling during the movie

I think for me, my wife, and my kid to go to a movie costs like $45 by the time you buy the tickets, drinks, popcorn/whatever and tip the valet. Then you gotta sit in a room with people, and it never fails, someone is gonna be loud or do something to disturb you.

Can grab a new release DVD for $20 and watch it at home, whenever I want, and not have the displeasure of being around idiots. Sure I have to wait for the movies to hit DVD but by that time I've already heard if it sucks or not.

I saw one so far this year. The LOTR movies are the only one's besides Matrix 2 that I went out to. I think waiting for LOTR 3 made skipping out on the theatre worth it.

Mystic River --- Was really good

Kill Bill ---- Wasn't a big fan but could have been worse.

Bad Boys 2 --- Didn't like it. Didn't think they had the same "buddy" chemistry as the first.

Wish I would see more, just never have the time. But fuck for the price it costs to goto the movies now, you can own it on DVD for the same price of admission for two.

None. Last movie I saw in a theater was 8 Mile... fuckin rude people, mainly kids don't make it enjoyable anymore. I'd catch a matinee maybe... other than that, I buy the DVD when it comes out

Its just annoying with the giant cinmeplexe's with 50 movies or whatever. There are a load of Tennaged boys that cant seem to figure out how to walk up, get a ticket and walk to consession stands then, break out to the movie.

They all have to stand there like assholes making tons of racket, holding up the line and generally not able to go with the flow of traffic. Dont they spend all day walking in lines and shit at school?????

You'd think they'd be chasin all the teenaged babes.

Also, cant hit the bong in the theaters. everything there is overpriced and the godamm morons that have cell phones and actually start talking to whoever it is on the other end.....

Theaters are their own worst enemies when it comes to retaining business.

Ditch the minimum wage workers that always fuck up the order. Send the teens to ANOTHER end of the building and have an over 21 only area that we can walk to in peace.

Also a cell phone police would be nice. Asshole gets a call, the crew descends on them and they are tossed out. Start making people remember that there are others with them.

However ----- There are many occasions I do go and watch them on a big screen, Like Nemo, Terminator, Haunted House, I like seeing some on screen better
