You know the Bangkok version sweeps pretty authentically unless you have a very good eye. Got an Explorer II model there for $15, but gave it to my nephew.

I'm a watch enthusiast and I know a bit about high end timepieces with Rolex being one. If I'm correct, Rolex does not make a presidential with a two-tone datejust bracelet. The head appears to be steel as well and since Rolex does not make a presidential in steel, I would suspect that your watch is a fake.

I've owned three Rolex's over the years and this is my most recent presidential.

well i saw the thread, and found it interesting.

beautiful watch yes, but if you bought the watch INSTEAD of the house consider this.

now rolex fakes are so good that spending 50 bucks on Sukhumvit in Bangkok will buy the "same" watch that only you and your jeweler will know is not the real thing.

then take the $10,950 you saved and use it as d.p. on a house or residential income property, and continue to wear your fake "rolex".

IMO, the only reason to own a rolex is for status, funtionally they are less accurate than a quartz casio.

not to be negative, but it's a good move to put your $ into real estate.
