The Iraqis do...but all the protesters don't, I'm sure.

OSAMA WE ARE COMING FOR YOU NEXT YOU LITTLE ANT IN THE HILL!:winkwink:

TheMaster 12-14-2003 05:38 AM

First of all: congrats that you got him.

BUT, now the tricky part begins, how are you going to sue him legally?
1. prosecute him Iraq: there are no courts left in Iraq, no Minister of Justice, ...

2. in the States? No, legally, you can't prosecute him in the States, you haven't got anything in your law that would allow this. Belgium had, but because the never ending US threats against Belgium (taking the NATO headcourters out of Brussels, ...), they changed the possibilities of our law (you could sue anyone for crimes against humanity, but Bush didn't want this 'cause there would be a chance that one dag an american could be sued.)

3. International Criminal Court in Den Hague (the UN's court), well yes, the majority of the world acknowledges the courts authority, the serb Milosevic is being prosecuted there at the moment, but again Bush' government doesn't, again for the same reason as in 2.

I believe they mentioned something about prosecuting him in Iraq...I'm not 100% sure tho.

they'll probably do this, 'cause they can't go knocking at Den Hague's door, Bush would loose face. But now, they still have to build up the justice system in Iraq.

In the Live meeting, they had the highest appointed Iraqi official, and the Iraqi court won't be ready for 3 months. But their having a full trial, not a trial Saddam would have. Saddam is going to have a lawyer and all!

Lickshots 12-14-2003 07:41 AM

Is it me, but doesn't it sound rather suspicious. He was found in a mudhole of some sort w/ no security. Hmmmm....it sounds politically tactical to me....I bet they will found Osama one month prior to elections next year.

For some reason i feel bad for him... look at the picture of him when they found him.. he looks like shit, and he has been living in a cellar of a barn..

imagine going from someone so powerfull and so rich.. to having absolutly nothing, because some other country got involved. Its sad.. and could make a good book.

I feel like someone needs to put a dick in his mouth for a little while cause he's a been a bad for too long, but then again GW needs the same thing, they've both killed a lot of people.

750,000? lol, what the hell is he going to do with 750k, he used to have billions.

Zappu 12-14-2003 08:46 AM

Good to know that this guy get arrested now, but this will not change the situation in the Irak, nor anybody can expect that life becomes now much more safer!

I am not sure if I will take a plan to the States now to go for the Internext, and a ship will take to much time

evildick 12-14-2003 09:02 AM

Does this mean everyone will be blindly voting for Bush again come election time?

Duh!!!

I posted on this board months ago that they would either catch Hussein or Bin Laden just before or on Christmas and then capture one or the other weeks or days before the next election.

kmanrox 12-14-2003 10:00 AM

he'll be in the same cell with Manuel Noreaga, and since Norie has done alot of time, I'm sure Saddam will be his bitch..

hottoddy 12-14-2003 10:32 AM

He preached Jihad all this time, yet when his time came to fight he quickly threw his hands up in the air, an unused pistol at his side.

He-Man 12-14-2003 11:07 AM

Well, this list will continue to grow for years, even now.

yea, I didn't think he'd be so chickenshit either. Better for us though. I'm betting he'll give up some good info to save his ass from execution.

Oh yea....150 more dictators to go!

Doesnt anyone find it strange that they can find one man in a hole and not find the WMD? :1orglaugh

I read this whole thread as it unfolded... the news, the denial, the doubt, the confusion, the realization, and then rejoice. Pretty amazing.

Heh... We need that one Iraqi press guy that was saying "there are no American forces in Bagdad" while our tanks were rolling by to get on TV again.

The WMD's families and friends have not talked to our troops yet to tip them off where they are.

Period.

A war against terrorism is a war against Syria. And that is a war against that bankroll of the Islamic Bank. That's a pretty large bank. :2 cents:

As far as I remember, the bin Laden money is still in Saudi Arabia, and Osama still has access to his share.

Not entirely true. The figurehead is gone for good. Also, the Iraqi people that were on the fence, worried that he would return to power, no longer have to play it safe, and will be more likely to help us.

Who preached Jihad?

I think you're confusing a SECULAR leader who's hated by the terrorists with Osama.

A victory in the war on Iraq, but not the war on terror.
