Unless you have been given title to it, I doubt very much that you have any claim to title. even if you have a deed to it, unless the legal owner gave it to you, you won't have anything of value.

This is lawyer land you have started to tread in..

Modest home, japanese influenced. Open plan living tastefully decorated. Northerly aspect, rich soil perfect for the green thumb or suit agoraphobic.

well thanks to everyone for the support and the guidance.

This matter has been resolved with my notary and that the seller will pay for all the notay fee's incured.

To give another background on this, the original sellers actually knew about this error in 2001 but failed to tell us. They have also delayed into giving back our contract of sales. Fuckers wanted to delay giving it to us coz they wanted us to pay for the taxes and such.

For those who cry about me stealing homes, it was a 6plex, one of 10 that they own.

Tell the original owner that you would normally sell it back to him for $400k. However, you're running a Holiday special, and he can buy it back for the low low price of $1.00.

Then smile, and say "Happy Holidays!".

You make $1.00 that you didn't have before, and he gets his house back. It's a Win Win situation.

Karma = bullshit.
Consequences = real.
Insurance fraud = illegal and raises everybody elses insurance premiums (notice thousands of doctors giving up on their careers, or maybe the astronomical rates of car insurance today?).

Wanna become rich? Take the higher path, provide a valuable service/product to people who feel it is a good exchange for their money/time, and surround yourself with similar-minded people. That's the business model for lasting wealth.
