xbox is good. EvolutionX. Games for less than $5 each (if you're the sort of person that buys copied games).

Also, http://www.xboxconnect.com/ is free.

They say PS2 online is very slow and laggy due to it being free, and xbox live is fast and good. I have not personally tried either.

Im a hardcore gamer, and I own an Xbox and PS2 (baught new ones after we got robbed). It really depends on what kind of games you play. If your a hardcore racing game fan like me, the PS2 has all the greatest console racing games, Gran turismo 3 and 4... colin mcrae rally..

But if your into more heavily detailed games that are easily beatable in under a few days, the xbox is the way to go... In my opinion, the PS2 is a more "hardcore gamer" system, and the Xbox is a more "casual" system.

Play some games on both before you make a decision though.

LOL I remember those! Used to have an Atari and then I my friend got a Coleco Vision and I was jealous because he could play more games. Then I got a Commodore 64 then he got an Amiga. After that he got Ninendo and I got a Sega.
