Agreed even if you were tracking all the webmasters IP's and hostnames so those wouldn't be sent to the other signup pages. I was just making an example because he said it wasn't possible to do it once the hit reached ccbill's server. Then of course, he said in the next reply that he "hadn't given it any thought". This thread is looking better and better every second for ccbill just because people keep making statements without any actual proooooooof and not thinking it through. |
wow, cant believe that I missed this one

Maybe it's not CCBill but the sponsors themselves....
hmmmmm... makes you think. |

We're converting just fine with CCBill. Made some tour changes last week that are rocking the house. This past weekend was one of our best weekends ever, same traffic. |
1:500 with ccbill sponsors right now.
|
I really dont think that CCBill would risk their status as one of the best processors to make what. If they were lucky 1 mil a month shaving every single program?? They make more than that and would not risk that income for that shit amount of money.
I have a program that uses them and we have not noticed any problems. I went and looked through there and there really is no way for me to shave the sign ups that the people are making. |
you could send a 3 page email to their tech support and you wil get back
"Hi, we see no problem, thanks" |
Every so ofthen these CCbill treads pop up. From what I see there are always two kinds of resposes, "wtf, im doing 1:10000" and "your traffic sucks, I do 1:300 with ccbill" Some how the 1:300 are mostly by program owners.
I for one am in the 1:10000 group, for some reason I never ever do well with CCbill programs. No clue why |
50 eh?
my check hasnt come either...hmmm... |
I have been getting very bad results with the sign ups at cc bill as well.
I have been emailing with ccbill about it but all they could come up with is more and more people using privacysoftware. I decided to put it to the test and signed up for two sites using my own link. Both did not show up in my results.... Mind you... I have cookies enabled and I disabled firewall and any other privacysoftware. Been emailing cc bill some more on this matter and what we came up is that somehow when I look at the sourcecode on the joinpage my refercode is not there.... Thus ccbill can not register it and count the signup. I have had several listings at the hun with no sign up as well from the same sponsor that gave me like 10 signups with a hun listing before. I am talking with the sponsor now (which is avery small one and is promoted by only about 3 webmasters) to see if they have had a peek in signups on the day of the Hun listings.... |
What amazes me is that people come on here, throw blame around because there traffic is not converting.
We have affiliates that are 1:50 with us all day long and we also haev affiliates that are 1:10,000. Its nothing to do with the processing and everything to do with the traffic. I'm not saying your traffic is bad, but I am saying it must not match the site you are sending to at all. It's pretty clear you know what you are doing, but considering how long you have been around you should also have an understanding of the swings in conversions. Its just interesting that you slam ccbill over this, because ccbill, regardless of there well documented aggresive scrubbing, is by far the very last stop that should be made when it comes to placing blame. By the way.. that "aggresive scrubbing" ccbill involves itself in keeps this industry strong and secure. It also ensure that they (ccbill) will be here for the long haul. I would rather have them scrubb then have to be changing processors every month, as so many sponsors have had to do over the last 6 months. Just my opinion man. Of course.. I dont know all the fact and my comments are based soley on your first post. :thumbsup |

I got a check from CCBill today. The "transfer fee" deducted was $0.37.
The letter was stamped and sent with a $0.29 postage. WTF? :glugglug |

I'll bet that extra 8 cents per client adds up to a princely sum every week. |

If you step back from you computer and just look back over the last 4 or 5 years you will see a trend. The trend we are seeing is that there is more and more free galleries and sites on the web. Sponsors bring out 30 or 40 new sites each year. Surfers have more choice and the internet is no longer growing at the rate it did a few years ago. All this points to more porn available to less surfers, the result is that the proliferation of sites will get proportionally less sign ups. Its becoming harder and harder to make sales on the web. The tightening of scrub rates due to unscrupulous webmasters and surfers who want to fuck you out of your membership fee have all added to this reduction in revenue.
Our main sponsor uses 4 processing companies and we promote their sites using all 4. Over the past few months CCbill and Ibill have gone up and Epoch has gone down. Same traffic to the same sites. I suspect its just a random event and we are seeing swings like this every month or two. It seems to me the only way to make more $$$ is to work smarter and get the best possible quality traffic you can. Cindy XX :2 cents: |

and then i'll say something sacrilegious. create content or buy good content and market it yourself. then you won't have to worry about shaving. |

And to you people saying "Some do 1:50, some do 1:10,000" well no shit. But I know MY traffic and what MY traffic is worth. When it drops to 1:10,000 FROM 1:50 there is an obvious problem. Shit doesn't swing 1 month good then you can't sell it anymore. My shit dropped and I could pinpoint the hour almost. I push 0 CCBill sponsors as of right now because of it. I don't like switching links and I'd rather use somebody else than have to watch for swings that bad so I can move traffic. |

I've done some promotion on some personal sites of mine. Some ccbill sponsors go 0:8,000
Others go 1:180 It all depends on the traffic I think personally. I have good WITH the bad. Overall my ccbill ratio is decent. And I find them soooo easy to work with I tend to ONLY use ccbill sponsors. Loyal customer. :) |

As a pay site owner not an affiliate I can tell you that this week I've had more "Denial" emails than normal from CCBill.. :(
