The new hard drive I put in makes an extremely high pitched noise. It will go away after awhile. But when I re-boot my computer. It will come back. I fucking hate the damn sound!

keep a back up of what's in it.. it's probably gonna die on you soon .. i had my hard drive do the same thing it's the head of the reader that keep bouncing back when it finds corrupted sections..

I agree with "dotwind" make sure you have backed up all the data, I had that same noise on mine and I lost a shit load of data
