did this happen to anyone else yet?

does anyone use the AOL provided version of the AIM Client?

If so, have you been slammed with any talking ads yet? I just got one for career builder my comp started talking to me. thought it was a virus or something as i had no browser windows open.

AOL is pushing the few customers that still see thier ads in thier software further and further towards other clients.

yea, they still have over twenty million active screenames to the AOL service in fact.

AIM is NOT AOL. people not knowing that is even more shocking then people who dont think aol is still the biggest ISP on earth.

I dont use AOL, but I have seen the adds, and I was surprised by it too. I bet they are affective though.

Disturbing but not really unsurprising development. AOL is facing stiffer competition and dwindling market share. It is getting desperate.
