Purchased an Alienware Laptop

Hopefully I will get it before Christmas 2015

Check out all the stages this stuff goes through.

IT will be worth the wait though.

http://www.alienware.com/system_pages/area-51m.aspx

------------------------------------------------------------------

Phase 1: (Order Received)
Your order has been received and is awaiting verification before processing. If you placed your order online, you should be receiving a call or an email from an Alienware representative shortly. All online orders must be verified before they can be processed as part of our security procedures.

Phase 2: (Order is currently processed)
Your order has been verified and is currently awaiting payment processing. While in this stage we are authenticating any credit card and/or payment information for security purposes. Please understand that this phase is necessary as it will protect you the customer from any fraudulent transactions. We observe very strict security guidelines and hope you can appreciate our efforts.

Phase 3: (Payment Received)
Your order has been processed and is currently awaiting the configuration verification phase.

Phase 4: (Configuration Verification Phase)
Your configuration is undergoing a configuration verification prior to component reservation. This means that we are checking your system configuration before we reserve all the necessary components that make up your system. Even though this process already took place when you initially placed the order, we make sure to recheck our real-time knowledgebase for any possible conflicts with drivers and/or components.

Phase 5: (Pre-Production Inventory Queue phase)
Your system is now on queue and awaiting inventory inspection and audit.

Phase 6: (Inventory Audit)
The inventory that will be used to custom build your PC has now been inspected. Please be aware that a back-order situation might or might not exist in this phase. If a back-order situation does exist, it should not impede your order?s progress. In the rare occurrence that a back-order causes a delay it would occur during phase 9 and you will be notified immediately via e-mail. The part in question will also be identified in the e-mail.

Phase 7: (Materials Inspection)
All accessories such as Manuals (if applicable), CDs, Cables that are included with your system have now been inspected.

Phase 8: (Pre Assembly)
Your system is now on queue and waiting to be assembled, integrated and inspected by quality assurance.

Phase 9: (Production: Assembly & Integration)
Your system is being hand-built by an Alienware® Assembly Technician. We take great pride in building systems as our motto reflects "build it as if it were your own". The assembly stage can take sometime as all the cabling in the machine is carefully done and the results are greater upgrade flexibility and thermal airflows. Every assembly technician has been qualified with Alienware Standards and has undergone a rigorous training program. We pride ourselves on not only giving you a high performance computer system, but a piece of art!

Phase 10: (Production: Phase #1)
Your system is undergoing the first stage of the Alienware® 200-point quality control process. This stage includes the installation of the operating system, drivers and any applications that are specific to the system you ordered. Our Alienware® Integration Technician will also install any demos, benchmark utilities, and burn-in software neccessary to correctly monitor your system?s performance. These functions are performed by AlienFactory, a proprietary software designed by Alienware for our valued customers.

Phase 11: (Production: Phase #2)
Your system is undergoing the second stage of the Alienware® 200-point quality control process. This phase is the most crucial stage. We perform a series of grueling tests that push the hardware components in your system to the very limit. This phase is especially important because it is here where the system either passes or fails. If it does fail, it will automatically go to one of our diagnostic technicians to identify any problems before we ship it to you. If the system doesn't pass our performance metrics, we will build it from scratch again. Perfection takes time!

Phase 12: (Production: Quality Control)
Your system is undergoing the final stage of the Alienware® 200-point quality control process. An Alienware® Quality Inspector is tasked with inspecting your machine for any obvious or latent defects. Our Inspectors are seasoned technicians/engineers and are well versed in the art of perfection.

Phase 13: (Production: Shipping)
Your system is being packaged carefully and being prepared for shipping.

Phase 14: (Order Shipped)
Congratulations, your order has been shipped. We only hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed building it for you.

NO worries bro, one of my Stations is an ALienware I have never had a problem with it EVER!
I play Everquest and the Machine that is nearly 1.5 years old still has no problems with the intense 3D the game puts the machine through

I not got the ALienware Laptop though however they are tempting. It looks great to, definatly not the "Typical" look for a laptop.

Only trouble with those things is the battery life sucks. I guess that's the trade-off for having the best of everything in it.

I've got an old Compaq 550 Mhz in the closet that I'd like to smash. I've never seen a computer with such shitty graphics performance. I've used it about a total of 10 hours.

Interesting..

An ODM named Clevo makes the Sager NP5670 and the Alienware Area 51-M, the Voodoo MClass M550, the Hypersonic Sonic Aviator, and they are all the same computer.

Well I hope we all know that PC's are comprised of many different parts and ultimatly there really is no all in one manufacturer of PC's.
All PC's are built with parts from different companies and thats where the discussion and topic of configurations comes in.

Ultimately what ya get with most PC manufacturer's are there Guarantee's and Customer services, Warranties, Upgrade policies etc.

If your truly a PC die hard you make your own fucking PC to begin with and thats end of the story with no exceptions. However in such a choice ya have to live with your own mistakes and success.

first off you fucking asshat, i could piss the cost of an alienware, but im not here to brag about my shit.

just because one can afford something doesnt mean they need to buy it just to prove something. its like buying a ferrari, sure its a fat ass car, but its a waste of fucking money, take the 250k and go around the world or something, youll get a lot more out of it. differance between a fat ass car and an overpriced comp. is one you get to show off, the other is just for keyboard warriors that want to brag to thier geeky friends online about how fat thier shit is, with no real proof to back it up.

second off. not everything else is pure crap, there are many companies makeing rockin computers that are much cheaper that dont have cheap ass shit inside.

STFU and keep on walking... ASSHAT!

Then it seems you have a problem with Perspective.

While you think an Alienware PC is grossely expensive to the point of being bent over for buying one is merely 4 days work for Pipecrew.

Ya think people would buy a Mercedes or Rolex's if it destroy'd there financial state?

Of course not. They buy them cuz they can afford it.

SO what you see as grossely expensive is a piss in a bucket to others.

Maybe he liked the life time plan, maybe he likes the parts, maybe he just likes the way it looks...
Does it matter?

For the future just try and think of things as they really are and not where your current position is.

Take a hint here...

Pipecrew can easily afford a Alienware PC, he states makes that kind of money in 4 days.
What do you think he does?

Do you think that if you came into the conversation trying to strike a positive note that he just might be capable of openning a door for you?
Maybe a door that is as simple as an exchange link or contact?

Perhaps ya might just wanna look at it as a lost opportunity at this point since ya insulted em and a company he chose to do business with.

Some people amaze me with the way they think. Its what makes GFY so entertaining.
as i stated, i can afford an alienware as well. just stating that paying 5k for a comp that you can pay 3k for somewhere else is retarded, in my opinion

apparently our opinions differ, but the differance between you and i is.... i dont attack people for thiers untill they attack me for mine. much like you did.

futhermore, i have spoken to pipecrew, and he has sent me contact into and such for services and products that i was interested in. and im pretty sure i do know what he does for his 1k a day.

so again i will say, dont talk about people you dont know anything about. and dont make assumptoins jackass.

I am just having fun here...
Ya should see what I really do

For example:

Why states:
"i could piss the cost of an alienware, but im not here to brag about my shit."

Now this is very interesting. He must have some great surgeons cuz the ability to piss money would certainly not be cheap, (Picturing an ATM machine type apperatus stuck this guys crotch area and the sophisiticated technology that would be involved in making such an act possible) and to add to that if thats anywhere near the truth why would he care about $3400.00 or so purchase of a laptop computer?

I have faith in the fact that the Real successful business men/women in this business do not pop out on boards to often and when they do it is for a reason and it certainly would not be to come out and "pop on" a poster whom is happy with something they evaluated, made a decision and bought.

Now I will definatly eat crow if the product comes to ya with broken parts and the shipping is 6 months late but I have the intution that ya will get some great use from the product and have the support should somthing go wrong with it.

I must admit I could get an Alienware Laptop for about 6 days work. So you being able to get one with 4 days work means your doing better business than me, so...
If there is anything I can do to help ya out LMK.
Click the Sig that reads Heretic.

Cheer's.

i love it. another sarcastic bastard. see we should be friends, we could attack people together on here instead of each other

but for the record. yea, my ability to piss money should really be kept on the downlow bro, imagine what would happen if everyone knew? and its really not money, its just good quality liquid gold.
