Right now I have AT&T Wireless... but when my contract is up I am switching to T-Mobile. Better plans and I believe better service in my area.

And with that new law that just passed I can keep my phone #

Don't go with AT&T, whatever you do. Coverage is bad, the plans are expensive, and they don't do fuck all for you if you ever have a problem.

And make sure if the phone you're getting is GSM and not digital, that they are set up properly for it in your area.

Go w/ Nextel. With free incoming calls on all their nationwide plans you can't go wrong. The service is pretty rockin in most major cities (I've been in about 12 with it). If you ever become a power user, they have an unlimited plan ( I got it for $150, but now it's $200) and it's nice not to worry. If not, Verizon has my vote otherwise.

if you dont use it that much get a prepaid plan at best buy

you just top the phone off with your credit card and only pay for the minutes you use. me and my wife use these and its much cheaper than 2 phones on a monthly plan cause we hardly use them

No offense man but here in California, T-Mobile is the WORST you can get. They share the same network as Cingular here and everybody I know can't keep a signal standing still let alone while moving. Maybe in WA it's better, but here, it's a huge NONO. AT&T is getting pretty close to them here as well, but still not as bad.

I have nextel with free incoming, been using them for years, no real complaints about the service or coverage, just make sure you go over your plan before you sign anything.

Otherwise I hear great things about Verizon, definitely going to be using them for wireless for my laptop next month.

                    Take Luck!

Am I the only person that loves Cingular? I mean..where else can you SAVE your minutes you don't use, and have them added on to the next month!? Great plan and service!

I think cingular is better in NYC, I have a few friends that use it and dont have any real complaints. Also T-mobile service is better here, but I only use that for my sidekick, its data coverage is pretty good, as a phone, its alright, but if you get the sidekick to use as your primary phone you have other issues.

                        Take Luck!
