web site design issue - feedback
I have a design for a web site - fairly simple but alot of people liked it that I have shows (it's not up now - doesn't really matter).
My question is, would you make two separate sites using the same template if the sites are totally unrelated rather than coming up w/ another design? Also, does having the same template effect Google rankings in any way?

using the same template wont hurt you UNLESS they are on same domain, same server/ip, or somehow linked to each other.
and yes id come up with a new design regardless of situation.

it is not a problem and don't have effect on gogle rankings as i know
just change title or logo or something like that it is your sites so design is not stolen from somebodies else site so u can use it as many times as want |

I'd rather come up with a new template too...

If they are completely unrelated then you can use the same design. Although in my case if I did that and both sites were doing well I would eventually give one of them a redesign, just want to make it more distinct, but if its just starting out with no traffic, then I can understand that may be easier to just put something up temporarily to see if the idea takes off before putting more work into it.

I would use a different design, specially if you want to do traffic trades or be listed on Adult SEs or Link Lists, most don't accept "template sites". Plus it will make the visitor think they really are on a different site ;-) and make them more willing to pull out the good old credit-card.

When I make a new site, I like for it to be unique. Have it's own original look. I'd make a diff layout for the other site, but that's just me.
