so what happens when?

i've been wondering about this for a little while now. lets say that the current president gets re-elected and he does actually decide to go after the adult industry, where would that leave affiliates? could he sick his hounds on not only individual sites but affiliate programs as well? would they protect us and our informaiton or are we pretty much sitting ducks?

There's nothing to worry about. It's just a big damn conspiracy from the ultra-liberals to make sure Bush is not re-elected. I think his administration has a few more things to worry about than adult internet sites, i.e. The World succumbing to terrorists, because of inaction.

so you honestly think that there is nothing to worry about? i would share that opinion had there not have already been some sites prosecuted but it looks like they tried to make an example out of those sites. i know that the industry has been around for a very long time, but who really is on the adult industries side?

Yes nap they could go after affiliates using rico statutes.
Also do not think they are not interested in busting our asses, or are more busy. Reagan almost took down this industry with a very full plate of real stuff to deal with.

For the US government to go after "mainstream" porn, they would have to radically reshape the US Supreme Court. The USC has issued a standard called "Miller" (based on Miller v California) that uses local standards to define "obscenity." The right wing camp in the US wants a national standard. That's okay if the standard is San Francisco or Manhattan or even West Side Los Angeles standards... unfortunately, this camp probably wants a Knoxville TN or Corpus Christi TX. Then we're all Fuqqqqd. Good thing I'm based overseas.
