However, the day I have proof that one of my sponsors shaved me is about 1 day before a suit is filed in court, all of which is public record btw. No fucking way I'm gonna say "I know who shaves but youuuu don't". That's fucking retarded.

I would shave, otherwise how can you control these people who get there friends to sign up under them, chargeback fees and stuff like that?

if a company is paying $1 but paying you $25 how can they not shave? with the amount of sites around today, surfer is not going to stay for 6 months like they want you to think.

but at the end of the day its what you make at the end of the month if your getting 1:700 with one that shaves then its better than 1:600 with a rev share paying $7.00 USD

Check this out: I have worked for big sponsors, many of my friends work for big sponsors...I run my own small affiliate program and my own decent sized paysite. I handle advertising and traffic for another rather large paysite with an active affiliate program.

I know this business pretty inside and out and the bottom line is really this: you get the luxury of making money while sitting at home in your underpants. That's a big reward.

I go to the movies at noon when all the working stiffs are slaving away at a 9 to 5. I drive nice vehicles, I buy nice clothes, I go to a titty bar and get fucked up any night of the week cos I don't have to get up until 11.

Those are all huge rewards.

They have risks associated with them.

Like any business there are risks, to be successful you have to be smart enough to minimize and manage those risks.

Do people shave? Hell yes. A lot of people. You should know your traffic well enough to know if you are being shaved or not. If you cannot figure this out you are not succeeding in our businees. Are they stealing from you? Sort of. But you are letting them if you are sending them your traffic.

Please let me know which programs you run/work for so I can avoid them. Because I get to work at home while sitting in my underpants, I deserve to be ripped off? I guess this works for any business? Freelance writers & newspaper reporters/columnists, soundtrack composers (I did this in a former life - at home, on a computer), contract workers... One of the largest growing employment segments is people who work from home, in their underwear, while sipping coffee and raising their families. They ALL should be rewarded for their work by having a portion of their income withheld?

As for the poor stiffs working 9-5, I'm wrapping things up at 2:30 a.m. Not complaining - I enjoy my job - but I'll be up at 8 for another go at it.

So we learned that good stats are a fine tool to detect shaving. That's a good statement in a discussion so filled with lame attitudes on wht's right or wrong. Shaving is so utterly wrong and unnaceptable, unless you're a lady or got hairy balls.

The program made $38000 in sales total, including rebills, conversions and such... and they PAID $20000 to webmasters...

Now, please in GODS name explain to me how this is not fair?! They will have to pay around $6000 in biller fees, so that leaves them $32000 ... they then probably have costs for bandwidth, content and such of around $4000 ... leaves them $28000 ... so you guys are seriously telling me it is UNFAIR for a program to keep $8000 and pay $20000 to webmasters?!??!?!

Yeah, sucks, they should not shave, lets pay the webmasters $37700 so we can keep the other $300 to cover biller, content and bandwidth costs.

Everyone that complains about programs shaving should be immediately dumped down to PP 50% Revshare everywhere...

I am not saying everyone shaves, or that I would... But people, you want $40 per sale Programs on sites charging $24.95 to members, what the HECK do you expect!?

i suspect that i've been cheated by a sponsor, merely cause my stats showed multiple signups....then, when the pay period ended, and all of a sudden there were no more signups, and customer service emails me saying "no signups" ....

though, it's merely speculation, i have absolutely NO proof whatsoever...so IF i were to name them, then that would be slander...


however, if you have proof of a faullicy, then it's not slander, it's an accusation with proof :D
