for anyone who uses Streamray co-branding...
Could you check your co-branded site for pop-ups and let me know what you get.
I've checked my own plus a few others at random found on google and Im getting pop-ups on them all. I've spoken to Sean about it and he reckons there shouldn't be any at all and thought it may be a peice of spyware on my pc but Ive ran a few spyware programs which have returned nothing. Let me know what you find or you could even just have a look for the hell of it and see what you get. google search for streamray co-branded sites By the way it only happenes on IE6 and not Mozilla thanks Mick |

Sean at Streamray is looking into it. The popups are not supposed to be there.

My laptop is freaking out right now too with popups.. I never ever had popups on certain sites yesterday I went to one of my sites and there was a popup. When I went back it was gone. I almost choked on my chicken.
I have no clue whats going on with my pc, however its random it pops about every 10 sites I visit .. So I must have some sort of bug, maybe you have that too

Sounds like you might have spyware of some sort. If I understood the one I had correctly (i'm technically challenged!), it is not dependent on the site/url you are at, rather a server sends random time interval commands to the file on your pc to start the consoles. It also sends comands for the file on your computer to change its name and move locations on your disk.
I used Spybot to remove it : http://www.safer-networking.org/inde...=en&page=about Good luck! |
