![]() The first domain that I bought a couple of years back when I was all naive...was with these wankers Uk2.net
They're awful - no telephone support whatsoever http://help.uk2.net/faq/payment/whycaninotcallyou.html Nowhere indicated on the site as to how you transfer domains etc. I already put in a couple of requests for transferral, both came back denied. It was getting to the point where my domain was about to run out, and I couldnt have that, so I bit the bullet and paid again for domain hosting and registration. I'm still getting daily emails from them like this : ----------------------------------------------------------------------- YOUR DOMAIN ***.COM A while ago you bought services from UK2.NET for the domain ***.com. These are now due for renewal. If you do not renew these services, you will lose some or even all of the functionality of your domain. Think carefully before letting them lapse. To renew services, go to http://uk2.net/ and log in to your domain. Follow the link to "Billing / Renewals". From there you can choose how long you want to renew these services for, and possibly renew services for other domains at the same time, if you have more than one hosted with UK2.NET. The services you have for ***.com are as follows: - Domain hosting (expires 07-Nov-2005) - Domain registration (expires 07-Nov-2005) - WebDiversion (expires 13-Nov-2003) - RENEW NOW - DNS Management (expires 14-Nov-2003) - RENEW NOW WebDiversion ------------ Your website will revert to free WebDiversion - with a UK2.Net banner at the top, and a UK2.Net popup window. DNS Management -------------- Your domain will not be immediately affected. However, if you decide to use the standard UK2.NET nameservers in the future, you will no longer be able to modify the settings. Renew NOW - http://uk2.net/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm a little worried, if I don't pay for the services they mention above - webdiversion and dns management, are things going to get fucked up? I've got the domain pointed at other nameservers...I only really bought the bla.com off them. Their prices are stupid compared to most other registrars, I've sent 3 emails now and got nothing back, has anyone else please had some experience of these sharks? And/or know how to get domains transferred from them to another company? Just getting in contact with them would be nice lol but havent had a lot of luck so far ![]() hoping someone can help thanks |

Register yourself over at joker.com that is who they UK2.net use to register domains.
From the looks of it you need to transfer the domain via UK2/Netsol by mailing in some kind of signed letter. Hope thats some help ![]() |

My first domain was with them too.
Later I tried to transfer it to Directnic, but it was more or less impossible, even with Directnic's help, because of this Joker thing. I couldn't work out what to do, so ended up taking the easy way out and renewing with UK2.net for 5 years! So avoid them at all costs! |
