Yes thats true but its a bit quicker than letting them hit a default address.

The solution is tracking down where its coming from originally and finding out if you can track it down.

Your host isnt going to shut you down just because a few gfyers make false complaints, they know it isnt being sent from your servers. But it might be a good idea to contact them and ask them to help , thats what they are there for :)

Can you terminate this problem?

It's curious to note that some of the more perverse fetish material originates from countries with more conservative attitudes to depictions of genitalia and excplicit sexual contact.

Nope as someone explained you can send them straight to your trash bin , but thats about it because they arent being sent from your server. Anyone can send an email from a faked address and if it bounces it goes back to the faked address, theres not really much to do to stop this.

If you need help in filtering the emails out i suggest asking your hosting provider as they can show you quicker than i can ( without me having access to your server )

I think you mean "stoop" to their level :) but some may see it differently.

Unless the spam is hurting you i wouldnt worry about it, the headers will show its not you sending them, and its a common spam technique.

If I gave you root access to my server - could you file the necessary forms etc .. to nail this asshole?
I want this person criminally charged.

Yes but i wouldnt trust me for that :)

Best idea is to contact your host.

Find one of the emails and read the full headers and post it here and possibly they were foolish enough to send it from their own server, but very unlikely. Most prob. they sent it thru a proxy and that makes it 10 times harder to find. About as much chances as shutting down any email regular spam .

I didnt say you wouldnt i said "i" wouldnt give me root access :)

Plenty of reasons , none of which i care to elaborate.

Just setup a filter for the bounced emails , im sure you can do that part , then read the headers of the bounced emails and see if you can track it down and figure if the person is a proxy or a real person, then check a bunch of them and see if they are all originating from the same address or multiple proxies. If you find its the same server sending them , contact the provider and start the bitching process. Contact your own host and see if they can help. Its better to let them know just incase they shutdown your account and ask questions later, i doubt they would do this as its a common spam technique so that the spammer doesnt have to get all the bounces back , and to partially hide the sender.

What's the next step - I want this terminated.

SexEducation.com has never sent an email to anyone.
I want my reputation cleared.

I want someone with the power and knowledge to clear this up.
Do you have it?

-HUH-? 12-03-2003 04:36 AM

First contact your host right away and explain the situation.

This is the last ip proxy they were using from the looks of it. Sent last night

Right about now I have no doubt that you are the most ignorant person on the face of this planet. Your "reputation" is that of a person who distributes child pornography. Your reputation is shit, and you really think people are going to all of a sudden think more highly of you because you've announced you don't really send spam? Fuck your spam, fuck your CP crap. Your image was fucked from the moment you were born. Go climb back under your rock, or hop into your icecream truck or something and DRIVE OFF A CLIFF.

I have seen the debates rage on but i was never here to actually witness any cp or anything of the sort. The site certainly doesnt look fishy to me.

Perhaps instead of spouting off about the guy someone could point out some facts.

All i know is not very many people seem to like him . ?

Maybe if you used a different picture , most people have seen that picture years ago and a billion times, it gets rather boring , at least serge interrupts with new pictures every time he tries to bust or bump a thread. :)

Well apparently he has admitted in another thread that he posted inappropriate pictures of children on his website for 'educational' purposes.

Some people say, I tend to agree, that non professionals should not hold themselves out to be sex educators , especially when they advertise porn on their websie while at the same time encouraging people of all ages to view the site.

Other than that he seem like a bit of a crackpot.

Im not going to resort to name calling, these are just the issues as I comprehend them from reading the boards

AdultKing 12-03-2003 05:02 AM

Guys, whatever you think of Sexeducation posting ******* pics isn't exactly raising the standard of debate, in fact it makes you look as lame as him. :2 cents:

I didnt read those posts or any posts with anything offensive in them , only people saying they heard it from others and so on , the whole " jump on the bandwagon routine " or " i hate you because everybody else does "

I watched my local news the other day doing a story on cp and they actually showed cp pictures on tv ? i was like wtf ?

If he promotes/promoted cp then thats totally wrong , but i havent seen any, and i cant see why gfy would let him post if he did.

In some countries the laws are very fuzzy. I have seen a ton of sites posted in this forum that are shady by the law.

Regardless of the laws some people have ethics and morals as well. It may be legal to post 12 year old girls in their panties , but i wouldnt promote it or stand for it, in any shape or form, but there are many people who do just that.

Exactly my point . The guy wasnt asking for an ego boost or a reputation reformat he asked about a security problem and i thought i would help him as best i could. I have never seen him post anything bad , or had anyone post anything he said/did that was bad , only people saying things they heard from other people, and i know how that works.

chodadog 12-03-2003 05:09 AM

I'll fix your problem if you give me root access to your server. I take no responsibility for any damage that may occur.

You only registered this month. So basically, you have no idea. Pretty much anyone that regulars this board has seen the evidence that has been taken directly from his site.

I never said I posted inappropriate pictures.
The pictures were perfectly suited for their intended audience and their purpose.

I do not hold myself out to be a "professional".
I fully disclose that I am NOT a Doctor and hence the main handle I use is; [email protected].

I've had the same hosting suppliers for almost ten years now.
Verio.com
and for several years RackShack.net.
