Yes this forum is visited by 1000's of people thats why i posted it here. ( are u getting all of this , need a drawing ) There is more than one board on the web incase you didnt know. And alot of other boards followed suit by fixing the same flaws , like oprano. If i had wandered the web and wasted hours emailing each and every board admin about the problems i would still be out there emailing.


When the flash was pulled from sig's after i pointed out the flaws that can be used in it , it was pulled by lensman and he made an official announcemen about it, i never recieved an email or so much as a word. When i exposed the fact that other file types could also be em-bedded into these boards , they also followed suit and took care of the problems.

In my examples i only included "nice" examples of flaws. Not nasty ones.

There are still some nasty ones in this board and many others. The main thing is that board popularity is very big right now , where else can you find 1000 ( or more ) people in one place at one time. hmm ( AOL ) hmm (YAHOO) hmm ( ICQ ) thats why they also are targets for atttacks and one of the root cause of spam and hackers on the internet.

It took one hour to get complete access to every email of every member of oprano , GFY , and porncity, this means that anyone else can do the exact same thing. This means more spam.

and now I will answer your question from last night. You kept asking why his exploit wasn't edited out and I told you some things are the way they are for a reason. That reason is so the right people can see it and deal with it. If I edit it out before they see it, it does no one any good.

That was my original point as i pointed out , this kind of code could be used to cripple gfy or any other board with the same flaws. Due to the rising popularity in board use , it really becomes a problem . Imagine if someone used the same code to crash and disable your windows , meaning re-format and loss of data. It would mean loss of most users.

Im not looking for a job, and i dont mind being banned as i never promote anything and dont look at post count for a judge in character or knowledge , i just wanted to know why thats all.

The issue is that we allow html on Vbulletin. It's a constant problem because people always figure a new way to post malicious html. We block it each time. You cannot take over or access accounts, we closed that one a long time ago. If you have any new ones, I'd appreciate knowing. [email protected]

Yes it was i had noticed my message said "so fucking banned" but his was still the same .

And lensman you have new mail. i re-sent the still open flaw and a few more.

And as far as the board script the bots can be stopped if you change the way they increment by number. You need to make a crypt that changes as more replies are added , so that you could maybe post 2 at a time but never more than that without recoding a bot every time.
