tgswupdates - what is going on???

I heard some real nasty stuff about a battle that came about when digger stole the tgswupdates site from scully.....withouth any compensation and totally ignoring their partnership contracts?

Scully convinced me to buy a copy of tgsw, which I did a coupe of days ago. She has been totally good to me, helping me all along the way and now she is being screwed. I was just going to signup with tgswupdates today, but I don't want to support a company that has this type of attitude.

Please let us all know what is going on!!!

I've been reading posts on this board for a long time, but I've never felt strongly enough about any of em to post one myself. But this deserves comment.

I'd heard about the theft, too, from a wm friend of mine...so I logged into the TGSWUpdates site this morning to see if anyone was talking about it there. Another webmaster had posted this:

It?s a pathetic industry that has thieving scumbags in it. Worse yet, thieving scumbags who prey on honest webmasters, stealing years of hard work away from them.

Take this example: TGSWUpdates.com was started by an honest webmaster, who ran it for several years. Following the Globill disaster, he decided to sell it to his friend Scully, who had helped him with the site since its inception. She was delighted--but not sure whether she could afford his price or run his scripts properly. So she asked another webmaster, a recent acquaintance called Digger who had become her friend, if he would go into 50/50 partnership with her.

Because the two original webmasters trusted each other, they saw no need to draw up formal contracts. So the three struck a "gentleman?s agreement" via e-mails and ICQs.

Scully and Digger began work on their new site. They spent weeks redesigning it, improving it in dozens of different ways. And sales began to come in immediately. The future looked rosy.

Then things fell apart. Scully discovered that Digger had registered the site domain in his own company name, rather than jointly as legally he should have done. When she confronted him, he refused to change the dns registration. He threatened to cut her out of the site entirely. He slandered her to other prominent webmasters in writing and on the phone. He flatly refused the advice of other webmasters who wanted to help resolve the problem.

Immediately after a visit from his attorney buddy from Sydney, he moved the site to another server of his own choosing. Even though Scully had the next batch of updates ready to upload, he refused to allow it, and found another person to take over her work. He has since refused to communicate with Scully in any way. She no longer has access to the server, or to the database she helped create and maintain.

Digger openly brags that, before his ex-wives stripped him of everything in divorce court, forcing him to live and work on a remote sheep farm in Perth, Australia, he was a top-notch corporate troubleshooter and acquisitions expert. In short, stripping away all the fancy bullshit--he made a living by stealing failing companies from their rightful owners, and revitalizing them. He?s proud of being a slimy back-stabbing thief. And he?s desperate to escape from the sheep farm and return to civilization; i.e. Sydney. He?s said before, in writing, that he?ll do anything to get back on his feet!

It?s plain to see what "anything" means to Frank Williams, aka Digger. Every move he has taken since the day he and Scully bought TGSWUpdates.com appears to have been aimed toward one thing--STEALING IT!! That's right--stealing it, the moment it began to make money, from an honest webmaster who?s put her heart and soul into it (not to mention spent numerous hours every single day to turn it around and make it a winning site). Digger may have done the initial work, setting up the billing and scripts--but that does not give him sole ownership rights to the website. It?s Scully who kept the site running on schedule, providing timely accurate updates every single week--until it was stolen from her.

Digger thinks that since he lives on the other side of the world, no one can touch him. He thinks that his artistry for spouting bullshit will keep people buying into TGSWUpdates.com, just like they did while he was still working in the corporate world. He truly believes that if he can slander his partner badly enough, to enough major webmasters, no one will notice that he's really a treacherous, lying thief.

Digger is delusional.

Everyone gets enraged when little kids are taken advantage of. Should we do any less for our fellow webmasters--the decent hard-working people who make up our tight-knit community? Today it?s Scully. Tomorrow it might be you. If you don?t stand for her, for what?s right, and keep the thieves at bay...who will help you when you need help?

I urge you to stand up for what?s right! Digger, and every other dishonest webmaster like him, must be stopped...before their illegal actions destroy all of us!

When I dropped back into TGSWUpdates a while ago, I saw that this post had been removed. I had to contact my friend to get a copy, since the posting wm had sent it to him in an e-mail.

Looks to me like this Digger has plenty to hide, if he's too scared of popular opinion to leave darogatory posts up on his newly-stolen site. I was considering buying TGSW myself, and the Updates program...but after reading that post, and seeing his behavior, I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot dick. Can't see why any smart person would. If he'd rip off his own partner, he could rip off anyone. I don't wanta be next.

This kinda thing really does have to be stopped. Why haven't webmasters put together an organization like Apic that can track down dishonest wms and shut em down? There's too many thieves out there, stealing from us decent ones.

I guess it is true, wow this sucks. I would like to hear from Digger to see what he has to say. I have been fucked by so-called partners in the past too and if it is true then I say we all ban together and stop supporting TGSWUpdates.

Well I think before anyone goes to judgement we should (like if we were judges in some courtroom, right?) listen to all sides of the story - hers & his. If he hasn't responded, then there may be a reason - perhaps he's not in town? Not been contacted? Seeking legal advice on the matter? Are we sure he deleted on post on TGSWupdates or perhaps someone else did?

Let's not jump to conclusions.

As for the post being removed - I saw it removed from the original guy spamming my email with his 'announcement' of this problem on another forum. Yet when I followed the link, there was nothing on the forum - don't know why I got an email from him in the first place and I'd be interested to know who gave him my email address to begin with.

Didn't she design the site, too? He even removed the link on every page to her webdesign site. That's pretty petty and childish if you ask me.

I liked what shed done with the TGSWupdates site...was gonna ask her to design a site for me...now I'm definitly going to. She deserves all the help we can give her.

My post at another board about this was deleted, so someone suggested I bring it to this thread. Don't have the post, but I'll rebuild it.

Scully has my total sympathy. I can well imagine it happened pretty much as she's said. I know because I was taken by an online sociopath for several hundred thousand dollars and half my business. This "person"'s behavior is well-known in the industry, but she still does business as if nothing had happened.

Scully should prepare for Digger to have no problem continuing in business. Always, always, always have contracts but, even then, they're not worth much in the game of cat-and-mouse known as American (or Anglo Saxon, for that matter) business tortes.

She should get a good attorney - you get one you pay for with attorneys especially - and so should Digger, because the day is very shortly coming when "being in Australia" will be no defense at all against the "Anglo-Saxon Business Model" all the cutting edge economists are talking about today. And the current drafted legislation WILL be retroactive.

Stealing a site & removing links are two different things - I'm not saying he didn't change things & I'm not saying he's right & she's wrong or she's right & he's wrong. I was just saying give the guy a chance to come out & respond - if he could.

Either way, it doesn't concern me - I use the product they were associated with and that's about it for me.

I headed up to Madrid for the weekend, and anyone that knows me and Rafa (and any other gay guys!) will understand when I tell you we left Madrid at 3am and took a flight to Barcelona as Chueca in Madrid bored the pants off both of us....

I have a few people that work with and help me while I am away, on AE, IW, GI, BT and my other sites - one of them being our own Wall (best houseboy/slave you could ever find) however he took it on himself to email all IW members a notice which dragged IW and AE into an argument with TGSWUpdates.com which has nothing to do with us as a company....

Wall sent an email to all of our members under our main admin status which sends the emails as if they have come from myself. This option has since been withdrawn and I have made the company responce clear as seen here. I wish that I didnt have anything to do this however the only person that has such access from today onwards is myself.....

No other person can now post with the title of "admin" or "support" on AEForums boards, passwords have been changed and Id ask anyone spotting anything that they think is "not good" to telephone me direct on +34 952888113.

On behalf of IntelligentWebs and AdultEarners - I appologise to those who recieved the email however as is clearly stated here - I want nothing more to do with the subject....

Anyone wishing to take this further should do so on GFY boards and not here on ARS nor on my own boards - such posts will be deleted - at least until their own lawsuit is completed.
