Need CPU TECH help...what should I buy?

I think I need to buy a new motherboard.


I am useing a BIOSTAR VIA 266

That supports my 2x 512mbs 2700 DDR (samsung)

I wanted to get another mother board...

A7N8X-X? That has DDR400? Can I use my 2700DDR ???

i have that board in one of my pc's, and for the price it's really good. yes you can use pc2700 ram and pc3200 also.

i'm no expert to be honest, but i've built 2 pc's with that board and from my experience of it, it's stable, fast and the price is really good.

i think the A7N8X-X is the budget version of the A7N8X range so, if you want firewire etc you can get on of the others, but it had all i needed.

no idea what the best out is right now, depends on what you need, but this is 400mhz fsb so there's room to upgrade your chip later if you want.

I'm using a mobo from a fairly new company and I don't have a single complaint. I ended up going with XFX for my home PC and it has been solid, I mean SOLID, for 7 months now.

Got the KT400 ALH
