Wacom is the only way to go, you definitely wont regret it, the only real decision is which size. Dont get it too large because it wont fit on your desk probably and it wont be to easy to use, you'll end up redoing the active surface area, like I did with my 12"x18", the 6"x8" or the 9" are the best I think in size. But its great quality hardware and after a while it just becomes second nature.

Intuos 6x8.
There's no other competiton. Too big and you'll tire you're hand, the 6x8 is fucknig great. |

Get the Wacom 6x8. I've seen them for just under $100. You can't beat them for animation or Photoshop work.

A Wacom 6x8 (or bigger) Intuous 2 is the only way to go.
I use the first version of the Intuos to this day... i've had it for probably 6 years. Things a trooper... The new intuos has 1027 levels of pressure. That's detail. Not to mention the wireless mouse... |
