with the cost of bandwidth these days, paid hosting is the only way to go
with the history of free hosts redirecting traffic and shit, its not worth your time and effort. some sponsors have free hosting, which is good but only if you promote only there program on it. which has some limitations. if someone is just starting out i recoomend only using free hosts for hun listings until you get experienced at optimized gallery creation

If you were starting out right now in this business from scratch, would you start with a TGP and a free host? Truth told? I mean as someone planning to make money as a second income, not a hobby.

The poor reputation of some previous free hosts shouldnt blanket all freehosts. So far I've seen asfly.com to be quite stable.
