Describe the typical American?

Being an American, sometimes we get so used to our culture that we forget how to describe ourselves. However, whatever we do, our values are hahahahahaded in our assumptions and actions.

So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, the first truly American (non independence day) secular holiday, list the key words that comprise american values.

Let me start with my list:

Equality before the law
Respect for the law
Working smart and working hard
Ruthless competition
An eagerness to network to get deals done
Respect for and eagerness for invention
Creativity
Independence

Question about your education system... are all of your students that exceptional? Or just a select few that may have been given extra opportunities? Also, do all children receive education and is it all of the same quality?

We arent comparing czech's with americans or we would have alot more sections to cover. ( i.e. infant mortality , life expectancy , poverty rate, etc etc )

Your original points were made about americans , not comparing americans to any certain country.

The reason your "boys and girls" do well here is because we only see the ones that you can afford to send over here. If you sent over "average czechs" there prob wouldnt be much difference.

the very most of children get the same education quality level (far higher % then the top quality level in US).Thats because all schools were state.Now we have some private scholls but just a few %.
And sure of course not all of the kids are smart or educated well but I Am talking generaly.The ordinary 12 y-o boy knows the capitol of Ivory Coast because they have to study about this too.I think the most of US people have no idea what the Ivory Coast is -even they should know the capitol.Just trying to explain - its hard for me because of my english

Unfortunately most US citizens have never visttied anyplace outside of the US. They are taught in sound bytes what the rest of the world is like an have no idea.

My eyes opened on numerous trips out of the country and my realization that the USA is NOT the best place in the world to live, the USA is NOT the most free country in the world. The USA is the blind bully smacking anyone who dares to disagree with it's policies.

Unfortunately at least half of the voters of the USA are blind, ignorant and programed to believe the copious lies of our government.

The typical US voter believes King George is a good president and even the occasional GFY poster believes the same. The picture is tragic for the entire world.

But there's one thing you must try to understand, it's not that we're all stupid, it's that we have a completely different mentality. Trivial facts like the capital of the Ivory Coast mean absolutely nothing to me. And you're right, I don't know it, though I did learn about it 10 years ago. I find no real purpose in remembering something that I'll never need to know. And if I did need to know it, the answer is only 2 clicks away.

Your original points were made about americans , not comparing americans to any certain country.

The reason your "boys and girls" do well here is because we only see the ones that you can afford to send over here. If you sent over "average czechs" there prob wouldnt be much difference.

sure we can't compare Czech and highly developed country like US.Thats for sure.And I am not fighting for "Czech are better".

And yes you are right about sending just a few and probably the best boys and girls to US but the average is not the same - believe me I know what I am talking about I tried to explain in last post.Thats because our standarts are higher in our education system.
Btw - I posted some good things about US too and never said I dislike you.Its always the same - good people there and also bad people there , smart people there and stupid people there
