Welp.. here's my big announcement...

We've been working on these scripts for several months now:

Very different approach to the whole thing. Good luck!

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

As far as the stipulations & conditions go.. I think you are talking about all the **'s in the licensing:

*"Unlimited User" refers to the number of your paysite members it will support. You can use the software on as many domains that you own that are on your licensed server(s). **Additional server licenses will cost $50.00 total per server (applies to Updatem & 4FreeMan only). ***Unlimited domains that are owned by you on the licensed server.

It just basically means.. if you operate your members area(s) on a single server, then you can use it for as many of your domains that you want. If you have more than one server that you want to run it from, then it would cost you an extra $50 per server you want it to work with.

We tried to come up with a price & licensing scheme that would work for everyone big & small.

And temporarily you can take advantage of the $299 deal that gives you the unlimited member versions of Updatem & 4freeman, also the MultiMod_Auth module & a 50% discount on the 5 script bundle at PaysitePowertools as well.

We think its a good deal

Daymare - if you are interested but would like to bust it up over a couple of payments or something, let me know & we can probably work something out.

You don't have to wait... there is a live demo up there. Just sign up & there is a simulation in the 'members area'

It's set for updates every 2 minutes for the demo (instead of 24 hours, or whatever you want to set)

We never intended this to be direct competition for Content God, AWW, A-Conman etc. In fact it can work with them or on top of them if you wanted.

See, we designed Updatem to provide a basic set of functions and features that we felt would have a high value to webmasters.

It's hard to do a comparison because we have a different spin on the job of updating websites & value of the update statistics. The pricing is a bit different too I believe.

Basically, with Updatem, you can create your members area, load it up with X updates & never touch your members area again - and you would have happy members being updated daily.

An "Update" is just a page that will be served to a member at that predetermined time of that persons membership to your site.

The "Updates" are just HTML (or php) pages you create... you can link to content directly (like in the case of a gallery) or you could link to offsite plug-in's.. anything really. It's up to you.

Feel free to download it & test it out.
...Or walk through the live demo.

The demo is set to give new updates every 2 minutes (to speed along the demo).

On your own server you coudl set it to a new update every 24 hours, or every 72 hours, or 6 hours.. completely up to you.

It's up to you. There is a utility script bundled with Updatem that will look for changes in your htpasswd members file & if users were dropped/deleted, it can delete these users from the user database.

You can run this utility script automatically from cron, but you don't have to run it at all if you don't want to.

We don't do wild mailings like that... our invitation was highly targeted. We used a few different methods to ensure that people wouldn't be bombarded.

But now I'm curious how many times you really got the beta test invite... icq me if you want.
