They played the Big Day Out also. Much better than Metallica. It was just a shame that they played really early in the day.

They are cool, light hearted stuff, good to listen to guitar riffs in the mainstream again.
Saw them live at the Cockpit in Leeds was a small gig, had a lot of fun that nite!
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
The Darkness are HUGE here in the UK, they broke last year at Glasto and it all went mental.
Personally I don't know how serious to take them though.
heheh yeah it's a funny situation.. people don't know whether they're taking the piss and being ironic or actually serious.. but it's one of those rise to fame stories that's pretty cool.. the right thing at the right time done the right way.. i mean.. they're catchy so that helps .. and even though they prance around in leopard print lycra they don't have the same tough guy attitude..
I was waiting for you to reply I only heard "growing on me" once a month ago then the other day.. and it statred to stick in my head.. now looking at the other stuff.. hell yeah.. im getting this album.
well a couple of years ago is a long time in a band's history and time for lots of playing lessons. Plus opening acts almost always suck even of they are a good band. They are never using the best sound and you are just want them to get off the stage anyway. I think I only ever saw one opening act I liked and they never said their name on stage - oops.
get the album....in my view the best songs from it haven't been released yet. One because it is nothing but the f word (though I think they are working on a radio cut) and the other one I can't think of the name but involves them singing about dancing on a friday night.
