Picnic is derived from a french word
piquenique in the 17th or 18th century. From what I understand it means to pick from a variety of dishes or something similar.

I merely object to censorship in a forum where children are not expected to be. Why stop there? I have this friend that when she was 5 or 6 some white kid called her charcoal :( At the time she had no idea what it ment but later on she knew exactly what it ment. How the hell does a 5 or 6 yr. old kid even know how to use a word like that in that manner?!
