Yeah the battery thing really sucks but look at it this way.
I listen to my ipod 8 hours a day (1 battery charge). In a year that's 2920 hours of use.
Compare buying AA batteries. You'll get 10 hours of play out of one pack.
That's 292 packs of batteries you'll need to buy to get the same play time out of an alternative player.
292 x $7 = $2044.00 for batteries alone!
