Looking for a good DVD Ripper/Encoder to MPEG or AVI format (not - Divx) - any reccomendations?

flask mpeg i think you can select what kind of encoding you want to use

We use smart ripper when necessary.

As for encoding, take a look at www.doom9.org. They have guides for all sorts of formats there.

All of my advice is obviously slanted towards DivX encoding, bit for ripping it will all be the same.
