Everything was cool till halfway through the project i let on what it was for... then he stopped working... then i convinced him it wasnt really for porn and he started again..

All I know is that they can have access to all the porn they want on the Internet. I also recall someone mentionning an underground porn producing scene in Egypt.

But from what I remember, the only countries in the ME where you can buy Playboy, Penthouse, etc. legally are Israel and Lebanon.

Ok, thanks for the answers, I think the conclusion from answers in this thread is that porn is probably illegal.

Salon.com however.. had this article on where they mention cafes in Cairo where people watch "X-rated" films:
