    1st person to die from weed

    Nickolas Sandoval, who is 24, was changing a flat tire when he saw police stop to come to his aid. Fearing they would arrest him, Sandoval stuck a bag of marijuana down his throat to avoide detection. He ended up choking on it and dying.

    Corinth police Cpl. Frank Lott says they had no idea marijuana was present when they pulled over. Lott says "Officers went from 'Oh, hey, here is someone with a flat tire' to 'Hey, this guy is choking."

    According to the hospital, the cause of death was "asphyxiation due to aspiration of plastic bag." Before this happened, Sandoval had been convicted about 3 times for possessing marijuana and once for driving while intoxicated.
