    Findwhat.com

I don't mind their extensive fraud control methods. Who can blame them nowadays.

But I think they should definately approve URLs within a reasonable amount of time. I have a URL 'pending review' for almost 2 weeks now.

Overture gets things done, no matter the size within 72 hours max for me.

          going on 1 month now.

sent several emails, faxes and called them up a bunch of times almost daily in fact, they only have answer machines to leave a # so they can call you back.

im probably going to end up running a chargeback through the bank, not a lot only deposited $250 with them thankfully.

Keyword approvals take a while, but url reviews usually take 1-2 hours tops. You gotta get a dedicated rep to superview your account and they can get url's approved in a matter of hours versus weeks. Especially if you already have keywords approved and you just need to change the adcopy.

But with Findwhat, most people have a chance of getting their urls listed. With Overture, good luck!

Findwhat is Fucking stupid... I bought traffic from them for about 2 years, then decide to change cards and they want me to send a xerox copy of the new card... Fuck them, they need to join the new century and put in place some modern fruad control...

Are you referring to the high bids on Overture? I agree, it is difficult to get a good level of traffic without bidding rediculously.

I was more referring to the chances of getting listings approved. They always contradict each other on denying listings. The high bid rates is annoying too but has always been there.

for PPC, try www.kanoodle.com They have some nice people in their adult department. Even got a call one day from them asking if there was anything that I needed to help me use them better, such as their acceptable adult list.

I'll second that... I could swear they'd double turnover if they just followed common practice where regards CCs instead of using dumb protocal.

The only reason I havent topped up my account is cos of this stupid policy.

Anyone know a PPC that will allow you to pay via PAYPAL ???

wow - i've never had a new listing take more than 7 days to get approved...usually its more like 3 or 4. i have no idea why some of you are having problems like that.

as to Kanoodle - their traffic quality is lower than findwhat, overture, google and even goclick.

Findwhat failed in the past to verify 4 of my credit cards from different banks. They were always coming with some excuses like the bank didn't reply on the phone. They fax they sent wasn't very clear blah balh.....please wire us the money.

Overture -- if you're not getting approved/rejected within 72 hours, rest assured that they've lost your order (they call it a Search Listing Request). When their systems work, they work well -- but they're known to drop an occasional order here and there. It's lame, but it happens - believe me, I know.

Other important Overture-thing-to-know: if you're bidding on a search term that's not in their "official" list of adult terms, you're not gonna get it. What they do: They check to see if your site is rated X (largely automated process), then check to see if your search term is on their Adult List. If both the term and your site are rated X, you're fine. If one's not, you're rejected (another automated process). So don't bother coming up with the most obscure search term you can think of -- it's probably not on their adult terms list, and it's probably gonna get rejected without a human even seeing it...

As for FindWhat... who cares. They lost Yahoo to Overture in Europe and they're gonna blow the eSpotting deal. May as well spend your time with Kanoodle or Aha or any of the other, cheaper also-rans...

I disagree, some of my best ROI comes from Findwhat. I still have a few accounts generating 600%+ versus the ROI from someone like Overture. Each PPC engine has its advantages and disadvantages.

Overture definitely has the size. I'm not so sure about their ease of use though! Getting keywords online is a struggle and a half

That list is a "company secret". How wonderful is that, we want you to advertise with us, but we have a secret white list of keywords you can only use, but we can't show you this list. Don't you just love Overture!
