Was up doin some work around 1am and decided to cook myself a steak. I sat down to eat, and took a bite...and it got caught in the bottom of my throat. I could still breathe fine, but I couldn't swallow at all, not even my spit. Gave it a couple hours and it didnt come out, so I called up my dad and had him come drive me to the E.R..
They ended up giving me some stuff to relax my throat via I.V. which had me dry heaving like crazy...which actually did nothing, in the end. So I ended up having to get emergency surgery. But I had to wait in the hospital emergency room for 5 hours before a doctor was available.
The procedure they were giving was an endoscopy, which is basically shoving a long flexible tube with a camera attached down your throat. They were supposed to only sedate me lightly, but the drugs ended up knocking me out completely, so thank god for that - as I don't particularly prefer shit being shoved down my throat
So basically...worst morning ever. EVER!
