remove hiss from videos?
Back in the day when I was young and stupid (that will be about a year and a half ago) I filmed a model in a small hotel room with the air conditioner blasting.
Any easy way to filter that out, something with an active equalizer or whatever, preferably a stand alone program I could feed in the .AVI. Logically I should be able to, but anybody know an easy way? This footage has sat on my shelf all this time because of the stupid fucking air conditioner hum... |

easiest way is to take it to any recording studio (even a small one). Use a spectrum analyzer to look at the frequency of the hiss, (probably up at 12k to 14kHrtz) and then use a parametric equaliser to "notch" out the sound. You should be able to get a small local studio to do it for 40 or 50 bucks.
