2 of em... barnes and noble was great until I was promoted to the busier hours... 4 till close... putting 500 books away in that store sucks... typing in isdn numbers that are 12 numbers long then putting it in alphabetical order... for instance a tiger book may not go in animal section... but in the asian studies section... and they used to hide 10 books in the rack that they knew you had... then they'd check at the end of the night to see if you put it back properly... if you didnt... you were fired... that sucked ass...

and catering at the University of Florida for the University President was cool at first cuz it got me in good with department heads... adn deans... but serving them day in day out they begin treating you like a slave... clean this wipe that... bring me a glas of water with one ice cube.... BS! gotta love porn

i was at the end of my training. we were selling Sports Illustrated. i got this little old lady on the phone and read her the script:

"good morning m'am. would you be interested in our stupendous publication for the amazing price of blah blah blah?"

she says no thank you. her husband is deceased and she's just been though cancer surgery and can't afford the price.

so then, i'm supposed to make "the second try" or i won't get credit for having made the call.

instead, i told her i hoped she got better, took off my headphones, clocked out and never went back.

Ugh! I've had a bunch of crappy jobs. Worked at an amusement park in the games area. Long hours, low pay, always ended up getting squirted with water in those car race games where you squirt the button with a water pistol.

I worked in food service. Once as a waitress. YUCK! Also worked in fast food. Ended up screwing my boss so I didn't have to do anything but make biscuits and hang out in his office. :)

Worked with a donkey basketball/softball team one summer between jobs building houses for people. SUCKED.

The worst though was a temp job I had. For 2 weeks I was a receptionist filling in for someone's vacation. I had 48 incoming lines and 380 extentions. My whole day was "Good Morning, Ecad, can you hold please? Good morning, Ecad, can you hold please? Good morning, Ecad, can you hold please? Thank you for holding.... One moment please (transfer) Thank you for holding... One moment please (transfer) Good Morning Ecad, can you hold please?... " Non-stop all day. I have no idea how the regular receptionist did it. I was ready to kill myself by lunch the first day.

I had a lot of customer service jobs in call centers where you have to take incoming calls all day. I REALLY do NOT like talking to people over the phone, as I'm not very friendly and sociable, and talking to people over the phone sucks!

Especially when they are irate and mad about something and yelling at you. I would get incredibly stressed out. The worst was when I worked for one of the three major credit bureaus. People would dispute like 50 fucking items on their credit report, and I would have to enter it all in the pc with the correct code, and it would take forever to find the accounts, and sometimes they would have like 20 accounts with the same creditor so I don't know which one is which, and some people would keep me on the phone for over AN HOUR, while our quota was 9 calls an hour!!

After I had spent 1 year in the US off saved money, I had nothing left. So I had to get a job that didn't require a visa :)

I sold frozen meat from the back of a van.
Drove around in small neighborhoods screaming "Excuse me! Do you like STEAK?" and then it was just to start selling your crap steaks to poor people.
That was by far the worst I have ever done in my whole life.

I don't miss that job :winkwink:

i worked at this senior citizen home and the old people were senial and really mean to me ! The pay at that time when i was a teen was great but wasn't worth the pain and suffering :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Well Ive never had a REALLY bad job.. Accually, They have all been equally bad..

But.. the ONE thing that i dont miss at all is the ol'
"hey dave, can you come on tommorrow, I know its your day off but we could use you"

I always hated that so much, I would always say hell no, And they would say "but dave, dont you want to get ahead"

Id always just be like look.. I work my assigned hours, I come in on time i leave on time, I dont work on my days off, Thats just that. Everywhere I worked it was same ol fuckin story...
