TomsPics, that dog looks great. Do they bark a lot always?

My downstairs neighbour has aHuski who sits out side on the balcony all day, very nice and quiet dog. Those were my favorites few years back. I'm trying to find one that really suits me.

PK, nice dog, but I want a dog that is a little 'manly', I have to walk it you know:winkwink:

If you want a friendly, intelligent, protective, laid back dog get a lab.

Edit: And I don't know what you've been reading but having a dog isn't that huge of an ordeal. Just get a dog you like, you'll be fine.

I've been reading "club's" websites, as well as the average resource sites. I think you are right though.

Maybe I'll just end up going to the kennel and get one of the sorry ass dogs that are left by their boss or something like that. I'll decide the next few months what I am going to do, I want it to be a well thought through decision.

Naughty, mine don't bark a lot but these dogs can if not trained properly. There very active dogs so I wouldn't recommend getting on if your never home. They can be very stubborn and annoying. But if you get them as a pup and put proper manners on them there great.

More information on these kids of dogs here:

I work from home, so that wouldn't be a problem. Thanks.

I might wanna get a dog, I have a bigger house now and it seems nice to get a foorlegged friend.

My checklist:
- it should not smell too much, some dogs are the worst
- no dog that dribbles (dictionary.com) a lot
- not too big or aggresive, not too small either, I want a dog, not a cat
- not a dog that barks whole day or thinks he is a wolf by night
- should be short-haired

I like several dogs already, but the ones I like best are not starter's dogs, I never had a dog, so I can not have one that is difficult.

don't get a basset then,
they STINK and they drool like crazy.

they fit the rest of what you're looking for though

Cute dogi bro :thumbsup

I just saw one on a dutch website, somebody found a 6 year old Parson Jack Russel Terrier. Very nice and I emailed the finder, I might get that doggie. I'd rather 'save' oner dog than get a puppy.

We love labs, you just have to be careful they don't steal your chair. She's very easy to take care of because she spends most of the day sleeping. :-)
