anyone good with cars?(american)
on one of my cars, a 98 cavalier, everything runs perfectly fine, unless i just let the car sit in park and idle for about 5 minutes, after that it just turns off, and when i turn it back on i have to hold the gas pedal down for it to stay on.. anyone know what's up? thanks

On a 98 you could be looking at a number of things. From the simplest like very bad gas to failing fuel pump, filthy injectors, air/fuel ratio problem, O2 sensor problem, secondary ignition problems etc. etc.
It is cheaper to take it in and have it looked at by a shop that can run the codes and see whats wrong with it. The process of elimination can cost much more then paying someone to analyze the problem right away. Good luck.
