It's a bug in vBulletin. I've seen people hijack a thread here on GFY and post above each other over and over and laugh about it. It was happening ALOT the day of the 2 millionth post.

I didn't say that. I never like to accuse anyone of cheating anymore because there have been instances of people being accused of cheating and it not being true. I'm just saying his post is out of place and it could have been an accident.

Yep. Very true, and I respect that. These things just bug me, that's all. Contests are hard to run here because of the cheating and the board bugs and such. Gotta give Turbo props for keeping it up even through all the hassles :)

I would post the same thing even if i wasnt involved in the contest. Now it happened to be my spot that is taken but otherwise it wouldve sucked as well.

Actually it could be considered my spot that was taken, too, since the post was inserted before mine. It knocked mine down, but I think yours in still in the same spot. I think that's how it works, anyway. But no biggie, it doesn't matter now. Maybe you'll win the next one. Good luck :)

There were no cheaters. I keep a close eye on the post counts, so I can catch post deleters easily - but I don't know about an error on the board. I did get a parse error before when I tried refreshing the main thread page.

Either way, [Brian] is the winner.

I tend to think Turbo's contests should be first to 50. That way you can keep refreshing until page 2 is found instead of post 41. It makes it easier to find the winner without checking which post number it is and avoid the cheaters. Not the best way but better than the 41 way I think.

I agree though, the cheaters suck!

Ya, and I leave old versions of the pages open in other browser windows, so post deleters are easy to spot.

Most of the people that are deleters have learned their lesson.

I have banned a few people, but I used to just expose them and let people flame them.

Just one of many threads about it on the vBulletin support board. There is a bug that allows posts to be inserted before other posts. I'm not arguing with you, I just thought I'd let you know about this so you can keep an eye out for it.
