Do you use Netflix?

Who uses Netflix? How do you like it?

I'm on the $29.95 5 DVD at a time plan and already watched over 20 DVD's this month from them. Not bad.

I do have a girlfriend, I was just asking re CE cuz I thought I saw a CE email about a new service where they ship out rental DVDs to surfers. I assume there's an affiliate program for that.

Problem with Netflix' biz model is that people are usually lazy and would hang on to the DVD regardless of the availability of pre paid postal shipping bags.

I used netflix for about half a year, then thought I finished all interesting movies and thought it's a waste of my HBO and showtime, so I quit.

Netflix is the future, although I still own some Blockbuster stocks.

Netflix kicks ass man.

Renting DVD's on line just saves time dealing with male teenaged clerks that work so fucking slow you spend half your night in line as they repeadetly fuck up the cash register.

Netflix is awesome, although it does take longer to get the DVDs shipped to Hawaii.

Netflix rocks. I have been catching up on some movies lately. It is a great service and has a quick turn-around time.

I use to use them but didn't watch enought movies to make it worth the price. A guy I know LOVE netflix. He rents them as fast as he can and burns copies. One of these days they're going to figure out that nobody can watch moves that fast!

How is this a problem? Netflix is making a profit if people are too lazy to return the movies in a timely fashion. If you are on the standard plan, paying $20/mo. and you rent less than 5 movies a month they are making a profit. If you rent more than 5 movies then they are losing money... Which reminds me I need to return my movies, but why bother to do it on a Friday..so I'll just wait until Monday. Am I the only one that will not return my movies over the weekend?

Been on the $19.95 3 dvd plan now for about a year. I love the service. I had 2 bad experiences where the dvd's we got wouldn't play right due to scratches and one was even cracked, but other then that it rules. Hell you can't get 3 dvds a week from a rental store for this price. I watch 12 movies a month for $20 and I just pop it back in the mail and its gone, no driving to the rental store, no late fees and shipping is free.

I'd rather just rent them again every time I want to see them, it ends up costing like $1 per view

For a $1 blank DVD and 38 bucks a month, they are yours forever, and if you burn em the same day you get em and get em in the mail, you could be doing about 16 a week, 64 a month, how can you beat that?

hey, some movies you watch again, some you don't. I just copy em and send em back and I can decide to watch it for the first time 6 months from now, just nice knowing I have it.

Then you got movies that are good to see a few times a year, like all the 007's, the gangster flicks, Soprano's DVD's, cmon' you telling me you never see the same movie 2x?

Netflix is a great service, tho the turnaround between their Texas warehouse and SE KS isn't as good as it seems to be for others.

i have problems mailing stuff, so i'll stick with blockbuster.

every 6th movie is free with their $10 per year program, and monday thru wed for every movie you rent, you get a non-new release free. it works out under $2 a movie, and i don't have to mail anything *grin*

I'll help you out. The US Post Office handles mail in the United States. You put something in the mail box and this guy comes and gets it, usually Monday through Saturday. They also deliver mail if it is addressed to you. You should find out your address and start using this great service, its pretty cheap!

I don't use NetFlix, but I do use GameFly for renting games. Same setup. I'm sure those that burn their games to their modded XBox harddrives would love something like this.
