But, Acacia does read the boards....so I can understand those that can be easily tracked down, may not want to bring attention to themselves...so don't hold back on not pledging, just maybe not posting publically.

Pledged 2 weeks ago and we're very very very small compared to some of the bigtime posters here - but then again I give the shirt off my back to any good cause where someone is being stepped on by the system, bully or a scam.

I think everyone should do the same - mainstream/adult whatever your sites & whether you have movies on your server or not - today's negligence can be tomorrow's bigger & worst headache. Today it is DMT tomorrow its the right to use your keyboard - this goes through, you'll find alot of other people with time on their hands to go looking to cash in on your 20 hour-in-front-of-a-computer-workday sweat.

Give/Pledge what you can - there is no minimum nor a maximum - but do something, don't wait for everybody else to pay for your freedom. Do something about it now.

What is really sad, is the MANY webmasters that I have talked on the phone, first question i ask... are you incorporated.

I would say 80% of the answers say NO.

If you are not incorporated.. .please do so!

You have an open liability from creditors and any lawsuits against you.. where your personal assets can be hit as well as possible garnishments on your day job.

Being incorporated means you could ultimately file for corporate BK, and be able to walk away and try again some other day.

We had a so called strategy meeting.

Of course Acacia reads the boards, but sometimes, one has to stand up and be counted - you did. You have put yourself at risk in a number of ways. Your efforts are appreciated.

I know that if more don't stand up and say something, your organization will not reach its goal of $250K.

This is a key issue for us all. Other organizations must be supported as well (IMPA...)

Actually I am very mild tempered and calm in real life. But when i am around attorneys I get vicious.

Quick story.

I was in a non compete lawsuit last year, my first lawsuit.

My first attorney basically fucked me so I had to call pops and he gave me his lawyer and first we had him call the origianl lawyers and he threatened to take them up with the NYS bar associatioan for malpractice o and shit like that. We got like 70 percent of my retainer back and eventually won the lawsuit.

Yes i hat lawyers I tend to get mad when i am around them
