The first time I ever got blind drunk was on jim beam. My mate and I were at a party and skulling straight from the bottle. After a few minutes the rest of the night is a mystery to me.

I can still enjoy a good whiskey though, Glenfiddoch (it's a scotch) or I'm also partial to a Canadian Club and dry every now and then.

I'll second that.

Only it's hot in Australia so I dig it on the rocks.

i like wild turkey 101. bourbon not whiskey. i don't like the taste of most whiskey. but my favorite type of bourbon is the 108.4% barrel proof wild turkey. it's smooth as fuck. :thumbsup

i threw out most of my bottles when i moved, but i saved one of each type.

Forget Scotch and definitely avoid anything calling itself whiskey/whisky out of USA/Canada.

Get yourself a bottle of Jameson Irish whiskey (12 year old version even better). Mmhh triple distilled and real smooth ....... :)

On the rocks is just bad, it kills all the flavor in Whisky.

Another really good one you have to try is Macallan, soooo smooth, flavorful and smoky and the taste stays so long in your mouth :thumbsup

JD straight is horrible. I prefer my tequila -- fuck everything else.

I use to love both. Now I don't drink anymore. I'd probably hit the floor with a freaking six pack, much less sipping a bottle of JD.

Slow sippin is the best way to drink it imho. Heres a recent shot from my desk. This is considered one of the best (according to my Whiskeys Of The World Whiskey Bible) Canadian ryes from a small family owned company in outback Quebec. If you're a whiskey drinker you might wanna pick up a bottle while you still can. OFC won't be around forever and its surprisingly cheap

yeah bowmore phey i bought this bucket once it was like a paper bucket with bowmore bottles in it 6 i thought 1 yr old 6 12 18 20 i thought... the guy i gave it to said oh come along i know you like to drink whiskey too hehe so i took the 12 up ofcourse straight man thats nice really is wasnt too expensive $200 i thought for the whole set...

Whiskey is an acquired taste, try a 25 year old bottle of macallan, that'll get the taste buds going!!

I generally drink 7 & 7's myself but I occasionally drink Crown Royal straight. Got into that from my brother-in-law who will only drink it straight.
