they left people in the dark for ages last time!
that's what's scary! I feel like I'm lost in between a fat man's ass cheeks. It's getting real ugly! |
I have had contact with em. They been getting the "1 more hour" all day last I heard.

that sucks...

:(

Ok this is starting to be fuckin ridiculous. Any more news?
Weird thing, every time JFPdude stops working there shit happens |
Evidently its "some big dos attack on level 3"
Are any other hosts that use level 3 down? |

I don't know shit about servers. Can anybody explain it to me.
Will we, like last time, have to resort to an old backup on behalf of techiemedia or will files be up to date and intact? |

1)He's been gone quite some time now 2)This is a level3 issue....all of Techie's hardware is working just fine. And I promise you, I'm losing just as much if not more money than anyone in this thread who's bitching.....shit happens and you have to live with it. |

I don't think it's possible that a major backbone like Level3 could have 'major problems' on their network for 12+ hours without even a temporary resolution. In any case, I feel really bad for all of the customers of techiemedia, as well as the folks there who are undoubtedly under a lot of stress right now. |
The problem is not with level3, the problem is with equinox.
|
"Equinox maintains call-in phone support between the hours of 8:00AM to 7:00PM EST"
I hope they work late though to get the problem fixed, otherwise it's probably going to be a long wait. |

As far as Level3 there is no issues in their Newark facility if you want to check for yourself call 1-877-4LEVEL3 :2 cents: |
It is not a Level3 issue.
|
Regardless, they're back online .
|
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! GO TM! |
Hey guys quit flaming me....I never said I hopped a flight to Jersey and examined the equipment myself.
I simply repeated what I was told by Techie when I called them. Unless you were there in the datacenter with them I really don't think you should be posting what you "think is really going on" because you have no idea. Jim is one of the most honest guys I know in this business, he wouldn't have told me that his equipment was fine and he was waiting on the level3 techs if that wasn't the case. |

Many hosts out there will sell you smaller fractions of their EXISTING 100mbit or gigabit+ pipes "at cost" if you'll commit to a decent amount (usually 10mbits), in fact they could probably sell that 10mbits 2-4 times over "at cost" without running into major problems. Rackshack is a prime example of "cogent @ cost" ... but there are plenty others out there. |

Anyway, they're up now so I guess it's all good. |
