    Advanced one-of-a-kind Helicopter Stolen

    http://www.globes.co.il/serveen/glob...asp?did=740083

Sources inform ?Globes? that Steadicopter's pilotless helicopter prototype was stolen on Saturday-Sunday night. Unknown parties broke into Steadicopter's Kfar Maccabi plant, and stole the helicopter, but not its computer software or the money in the office.

Steadicopter is collaborating with Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) on the project. Steadicopter claims its pilotless helicopter is the first of its kind in the world.

Sounds very innovative and definitely needed given the recent spate of helicopters being shot down in combat.

How does one steal a helicopter? This thing is supposedly pilotless so it wasn't flown out and these aren't the lightest pieces of machinery. If it uses the GPS as a guidance system, they can't track it?

Like I said, Sir, it's too big to steal....now moving along to the next part of our tour....."

Good question...it said they didnt steal its computer software, either. Id think that be neccesary to even use the thing? I mean...if you're gonna steal the helicopter, why NOT take the software as well?
