Lensman a SS of the problem with QB
This is an example of what happen to me and I'm sure several others with the new Quick Bucks add.. I can't click anything but the add , and even if I do and I visit the page.. The add still dose not go away. I can't alt+tab and stop it and there is no close Button. Forces me to have to close Internet Explorer , reopen and revisit the page...

1. Get rid of your 12 inch monitor.
2. Use the 'page down' button while you are saving up.

I was not referring to your screen shot, dildo. I was referring to the fact that if you had a decent sized monitor with finer resolution and a bigger desktop area you'd see thet QB has a close button on the bottom of their advert.

well maybe they do and I didn't see it, but if it's that far out of view from the rest of the add.. means they are trying to make it very hard for me to find it. So that makes me wonder what kind of program it is, get the drift? Not saying the program is bad or good.. as I've been so annoyed by the add I havn't bothered reading their page.. I mean honestly if a program is going to try to make it that hard for the people selling it... what are they going to do to the poor surfers on my webpages?

Maybe if you did read their page you could sign up and finally afford a nice monitor.

A few months ago there came the vocal audio ads, then recently music tracks.. now we start flying stuff all over the screen.. Soon I guess it will be buying ad spots to redirect a topic click to some sponsor's site.. Sure is nice to visit a forum and be able to just read posts and not have to worry about how loud the volume is.. or what chance you take by clicking to read posts.. Welcome to GFY today I guess, lol. |

Here's how I look at it:
When online newspapers make pop-ups or flash overlays or whatever, I can accept that because they give me news, etc for free. On GFY, it's the GFYers who deliver the posts. So, as thanks for posting, they get hammered on the head with obnoxious flash thingies. Yes - I know - Lens pays for the servers and programming and stuff. But he also uses GFY as a means of bringing out his own ad messages, etc. It's a fine line. Overdo it and people will go somewhere else. |
