What a scary little kid

Yipes, imagine growing up with this kid as your little brother.

Boy, 6, Suspected of Killing Grandfather

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - A 6-year-old boy suspected of shooting his grandfather to death with a .22-caliber rifle has a history of mental illness and attacking family members, authorities said.

Past assaults have involved the boy's younger siblings and his parents, Hemeyer said. He also said the boy has used knives during previous attacks.

James Zbinden, 59, was found dead at his home Friday after his grandson ran into the street and flagged down a neighbor, Cole County Sheriff John Hemeyer said.

The boy, who has not been identified, is being evaluated at a mental-health facility.

"We believe, at this time, that he killed his grandfather intentionally," Hemeyer said. An autopsy Saturday showed Zbinden bled to death from a single gunshot wound near his armpit.

Hemeyer said Zbinden and the boy were alone together Friday when the boy apparently found a gun that family members thought was no longer in the house. Hemeyer said it was unclear what led up to the attack. "This is a kid who has attacked family members before with no provocation," Hemeyer said.

The boy had been released last Monday from a central Missouri mental-health facility where he was admitted after attacking another family member, Hemeyer said.

Before his legal counsel halted the interview, the boy indicated to authorities that he was responsible for Zbinden's death, Hemeyer said.

A juvenile court will handle the case.

Juvenile "punishment does not exist in Missouri," Hemeyer said. "Everything is set up for the welfare of the child. Certainly, this is one of those instances we have an extremely disturbed child who needs help badly."

Or just a little kid that has grown up around such activities... such as violence from mother/father.

No kid just randomly attacks people unless he has been taught to or seen it before.

The new generation of kid's cartoons is violent as hell compared to what I grew up on.

Video games also warps their minds. My kid has a PS2 and some of the games are unbelievably violent.

I think some people are born homicidal. Nature over nuture. Some people are products of their enviroment, but I believe a lot of people come into life with a blueprint already laid out for them.

I'd be horrified if that was my child... wouldn't know what to do or say.

Oh most definitely it's the cartoons.
When I was a kid I was convinced that you dropped anvils on people's heads after pouring a pile of birdseed in their path.
*rolls eyes*

Guys, some people are just born mentally unstable. Sure there could be abuse in the household but sometimes the kid is just unbalanced. Just as some children are born with Down's Syndrome, dyslexia, or with six toes... some kids are born with something wrong in their brain. Things don't communicate like they're supposed to and stuff gets all fucked up in the translation.
Kids haven't learned how to control themselves or their emotions yet (hell most of them haven't even done this by puberty) and when you add that to a miscommunicating brain, you're in for some pretty violent behavior.

But if you thought it was gone, wouldn't you want to like make sure it was REALLY goine from the house?!?! I mean, if I go out and think I shut everything off, I won't mind going in to check to make sure. Cause ya know.. the mind does go crazy when ya off to hump ya girl. Doesn't think about the stove/iron being left on.

Especially if the grand kid has already threatened people with knives and has a history of mental illness.

What's the betting this all happened in a trailor park?

New generation isn't any worst than the last in regards to being violent...

Ever see the movie The Bad Seed ... was made in like 1950!

There has always been a tiny percentage of malacious children that are extremely violent and kill their close friends, family, etc.

Easy to blame TV, internet, etc...but sadly the real blame is human nature...who does one blame for that...God?

My ex girlfriends kid is like that but he has a chemical imbalance which will eventually turn to schizophrenia just like his mom. He is a holy terror that just wants to destroy things and hurt people. Personally I think he should be locked up for life cause he's probably gonna be the next big serial killer

This statement is totally untrue. Kids do randomly attack without cause. It happens all the time. There are children that are born missing something chemically. It happens way more than you may think.
