Router question/Networking

Ok check it out

Cable Modem> Router , from router One goes to Comp, another goes to Cisco ATA, Ok this is my question I have the wireless router I got for free from dell. Should i hook it up to the "uplink" port oin the router or just add it to abother available port?

Which is best ?

depends if the wireless thing has an uplink which is probably a x-connect if does just connect it to a normal port if it dosnt and is straight thru put it on the uplink or if you want just put it on a regular port and use a x-connect cable

My x-connect he means a crossover cable, which is an ethernet cable with two of the conductors switched, I believe it is the 4th and 5th but I'd have to look it up. They can be bought fairly cheaply at Circuit City or Best Buy or the Shack.
