Headaches in kids linked to Harry Potter?
kinda old news but very interesting to me:
Howard J. Bennett, a pediatrician in Washington, D.C., was alerted to the peril when three patients, ages 8 to 10, came to him in June complaining they had been suffering from a headache for the past two or three days. "In each case, the headache was dull and the pain fluctuated throughout the day," Bennett wrote in a letter published in Thursday's issue of The New England Journal of Medicine. Many kids all across the world have been suffering from headaches. Doctors across the country have been running tests to find out if they can be linked to reading Harry Potter. Full Story

Sometimes the so called experts urge so much for attention that it starts to be embarrassing. I am just waiting for some dumbass sueing Rowling or the publisher.
If a fat kid that normally only sits on the sofa for hours to watch TV takes a book and reads for hours it is kind of obvious that they get back muscle tension and in turn headache. I guess all of us that work with the computer know exactly what that feels like sitting in front of it for hours typing. How could you imagine most parents tell their kids how to read in the right position when they never even touched a book by themselves. Guess now they might get an excuse to not let their kids read ![]()

Harry Potter is a magician. He can do special things with the minds of sweet young children..
I might sue intel because that processor they made is not exactly what I prayed for. So, basically they are forcing their anti-religious beliefs apon me and I have no possible way to defend against them. AND, sue me, because while reading this post you could have been streching your arms and yawning, which would release some stress, but now it's all bottled in and you might get a cancer from it. |

I wonder, too, if Acacia will get involved in this.........maybe they will claim to have the patents for whatever causes headaches and that Harry Potter may be infringing on it

I think the Harry Potter books are great.. I read the whole series and I'll let my kids read them too. Hell, if it gets the video game junkie tv addicted children of our generation to crack a book, why the FUCK not? :P
