ok so half u numbnuts didnt get it here is the breakdown of what it all meant:

Oracle is the processor of the system she cannot be destroyed that is why she is still alive at the ending.

Neo and the Virus were exact oppisites so when the virus tried to infect him they both equaled out and were blown to oblivion.

Neo is the One. He is the one because when he died his body was left and gave the machines an unlimite power supply (that is why he was being carted away and saw energy he is energy).

This deal made before he died consisted that all humans would be free if he defeated the virus, because neither the humans or the machines could live with the virus alive.

all the humans were freed from their "pods" into the real world where morpheus was left and all the other humans.

at the end where it shows the matrix being rebuilt all the "people" left are just programs that had become obsolete and were going to be deleted. This is the reason why the Oracle helped Neo, to protect the programs such as the young girl that would have been deleted without her help.

So in final Neo is basically dead, his body is used as a power source for all the machines to live.

All humans are freed from the Matrix because Neo defeated the virus.

In the Matrix is left the Oracle with all the programs.

Overall crazy ass movie, crazy ass gfx, and if they make 1 more the producers need to be shot.

I knew there was a reason I didn't get involved in this whole Matrix thing! I think my brain would explode if I had to think this deeply about a set of movies.

I liked Matrix 3, but the ending sucked ass... and it was left wide open for more movies, although I expect that would be at least 10 years away. Reloaded is still my favorite.

Neo is kind of robbed of his "superhero" status a bit in this movie... and the Christ figure stuff was overdone at the end.

the oracle is around to create an imbalance to the equation, created by the architecht. she's presumably there to keep the remainder (mtrx2) happening.

all the people were NOT released.
the architect said that the people who WANTED to be free would be.
