Myth Or Fact
If I have 32x24x48x CD-RW
Will the Songs I burn come out better if I burn on a slow speed IE 2x 4x? Compared to full blown 32x? |

Quality of the songs doesn't depend on the speed they were written. You have a better chance to get "fucked up" CD if you writing with a high speed.

No. It's digital. It either works or it don't. Occasionally, I'll have to back off the speed to 24x because a certain batch of blank CDRs can't handle higher speeds, but ususally once you figure out what the blanks will handle you are set.

I think but I am not sure that if you write at a slower speed you its possible to have a better quality cd. Think of it this way... If you take your time on a project rather then rush at the last minute, possibly forgetting steps on the way; you will have a higher quality end project. Thats my theory

If you have the time copy audio cd's at the lowest burning rate. I hardly burn audio cd's but the ones i made at low speed are reliable and as good as new even today. No skipping just solid audio. The new ones i burned at high speed skip randomly and behave like scratched disks after a few days. But once again: if you are a man you only copy cd's from the original for your car or something.. |
