I had all kinds of Lego's when I was a kid. They were out at my parent's house a while back and I sat down with them. It was actually pretty fun. I built a couple really cool creations..the kind I always tried to build when I was 10. Now my life's work is complete.

Folks, forget about the Legos. Surf over to eBay and buy as many sets of Construx as you can find. Construx are the ultimate in building toys. I once built a suit of armor out of Construx (OK, it only covered my from the chest up, so it was more of a helmet but it was AWESOME).

I used to love Legos and would still play with them if I had any. I can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to have them so we can play together!

this is the AT-AT Imperial Walker. some of you might remember it from the earlier starwars movies.

all those body panels on the main bodice and the head move to open up. there are some things stored in its "belly" and a little guy inside the "head".

pretty intricate piece. took about 4-5 hours. has around 1000 pieces.

Hahaha!! I used to make movies, too, with my parents old VHS camera. I got a lot of extra credit back in 4th grade.

I had a race track that I'd use, and I'd stage chase scenes and wrecks. I made a LEGO bar that I'd always have little guys drinking in as well.

Funny shit.

Damn Why, those are some pretty big sets. I haven't even looked at buying new LEGOs for years. I did see where they had the new remote control motors, etc. Crazy times...

Would be more impressive if those weren't kits. I spent most of my childhood building vast lego cities on the floor of my room. My most impressive creation was a space cruiser that was about four feet long, eighteen inches wide and probably weight 20 pounds. I wish I had pics of it. Its still mostly intact at my parent's place.

Lego is way cool..

I played with it non stop for the first 12 years of my life.

I reckon it's the best toy out there for kids, way better than video games, actually allows their creative talents to develop
