Most likely someone with absolutely nothing better to do then to hook up a bunch of computers and send 56Mbit of traffic to a server. Most like it's amuzing or something, at least some people here seem to think it is... Ah well, can't say much more than 'we're working on it'... Spending a lot of time and effort to fight off people that have nothing better to do then destuct other people's stuff... well done, hooray...

I feel your pain, we had a similar situation and defeated it, a bunch of other guys with other hosting providers could not.

It's disturbing but it's a fact that when you work hard and build something that stands out of the crowd, people will appear from nowhere and try to take you down. There's no way around it, good luck fixing the problem.

the hun, if you want to stop it... looks like it's a syn attack, i've had it a TUN! of times to my sites, update your dns to point to a different ip, all of the computers that are attacking your site will be cached going to the old ip, that will give a few hours to get on your server change the default connection timeout to 2 - 3 seconds and find some smart dude to fix it! don't let the data center do it, if that's what your doing cause you can't get on the box, have them update dns so some one smart can get on, data centers are dumb!!!!! took them 7 days to stop the attack on my site good luck :(
